About the Symposium
The InQueery Symposium is an annual event that brings together research in queer and trans studies across disciplines and communities. This year, we are honored to welcome Mejdulene Bernard Shomali as our keynote speaker.
In Where Do We Go From Queer? Palestinian Ecologies for Liberation, Shomali explores the significance of understanding Palestinian liberation through queer politics and draws on the history of Palestinian resistance to consider political and social movements that move beyond liberal and normative frameworks. Her work asks what forms of community, collaboration, and futurity become possible outside these frameworks.
