Biography

Anna Ivanova is a Political Science PhD candidate studying Arctic governance, East Asian politics, and international institutions. Her work has been published in Policy Studies, Environmental Research, Polar Record, and Polar Research, as well as by the Italian Society for International Organization (SIOI). She is a Research Assistant at The Arctic Institute and a Foley Institute Fellow. In 2022, she was part of the Climate Based Human Migration Project. In 2024, she was a visiting researcher at the National Academy for Educational Research. Anna is also a board member of the U.S. Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS). She has presented at the North Pacific Arctic Conference (NPAC), Ocean University of China, and National Central University. She also has a background in environmental engineering and speaks Russian and Chinese.
