Abortion Clinic Film Collective Palouse Community Screenings

On March 3 and 4, 2025, the Program in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies; the Department of Digital Technology and Culture; Planned Parenthood Advocates of Greater Washington and Northern Idaho; WSU’s Women’s Center; Bans Off Moscow; and the Vandal Film Club cosponsored a screening of a short film series produced by the Abortion Clinic Film Collective. The Abortion Clinic Film Collective is a collaborative, non-fiction group that creates experimental films about abortion clinics across the United States and investigates the impact of the post-Dobbs era on women’s healthcare and reproductive rights. The two screenings took place at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Center in Moscow, Idaho, where there was nearly a full house, and at WSU’s Fine Arts Building in Pullman, Washington. The films addressed topics including pregnancy, abortion, miscarriage, and sexual violence. ACFC member and award-winning filmmaker Ruth Hayes attended the events and spoke as part of panel discussions following the screenings.

Three panelists on stage at the event.
